Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) are used more and more in new businesses and products to save a customer’s time, money, and resources. It can be hard to precisely track thousands of your valuable assets if they are scattered across the world, which is why Precision Navigation Systems (PRNS) decided to unite the thousands of separate GNSS Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS) under one roof. Stargate RTK is the umbrella under which all GNSS signals, such as GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, BeiDou, and QZSS, are bundled together. This conglomerate of GNSS networks is available instantly to an unlimited number of devices for precise positioning, tracking, and navigation.

Stargate RTK uses the existing GNSS CORS networks to provide GNSS real-time kinematic (RTK) and differential GNSS (DGNSS) correction streams. By keeping their solution independent of other systems, they have the ability expand Stargate RTK on a global scale while supporting GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS usage. The Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) protocol is also included, which allows them to deliver GNSS correction services to masses of RTK-enabled IoT devices. Possible applications for Stargate RTK include tracking and positioning drones, autonomous vehicles (AV), robots, IoT, light electric vehicles (LEV), and marine.

The Stargate solution

The PRNS team is excited about participating in Point.IoT to acquire advanced R&D skills and gain experience. Founders Simon and Dmitrii have vast experience in working with GNSS, starting with the HIVE project, which is now the largest GNSS data provider in Russia. HIVE is a cloud marketplace that provides GNSS data management tools for CORS owners. In 2019 the team was one of the top 6 global finalists in the Hello Tomorrow Top 500 deep-tech start-up competition and won TechChills’s 50 Founders Battle. Their goal with Stargate RTK is to become the one-stop-shop for GNSS augmentation solutions and provide the most advanced GNSS correction services around the globe.
