Applications open! Point.IoT empowers IoT innovation with Galileo technologies

Develop IoT solutions with satellite positioning

The uptake of IoT is growing rapidly and immense amounts of data are being generated every day. This system of interconnected devices draws valuable data from our private and professional lives, supplying insights and enabling faster reactions and responses to the ever-changing competitive landscape. Combined with satellite navigation technologies such as Galileo, IoT solutions can bring even more value to industry. Using Galileo allows more reliable and accurate positioning, and its increased availability enables IoT devices to determine their position even in demanding urban environments. Careful thought and extensive investigation into where Galileo can make a positive impact on IoT solutions has resulted in an innovative new programme to support IoT developers and entrepreneurs, Point.IoT.

Accelerate your product development with corporate users

Imagine having access to industry experts, tailor-made training and the right advice to transform your ideas into reality? Point.IoT offers exactly that to innovators and entrepreneurs developing solutions at the intersection of IoT and Galileo. This brand-new innovation programme is working with real companies faced with real challenges and seeks talented teams to roll up their sleeves and tackle these important problems.

Each year, ten teams of ambitious entrepreneurs will be selected to develop the next generation of IoT solutions. With Point.IoT, ideas turn into real-world solutions as teams engage in a 3-month entrepreneurial experience. It looks like this:

  1. Travel to Paris to take part in an action-packed, two-day bootcamp held at Orange Business Services. By the end of these combined training sessions, teams will feel prepared and energised for their three-month virtual sprint.
  2. Access leading industry experts for continuous guidance and support during three months of virtual technical and business sprints. These two tracks occur simultaneously, ensuring the team’s solutions are both technically robust and strategically positioned for market success.
  3. Celebrate the hard work and success at the Point.IoT demo day. All teams will pitch their solutions to the jury, including the challenge partners. The jury will evaluate each team’s solution and decide on the overall winner and €20,000 cash prize recipient.

Think you have what it takes to design the ultimate industry solution? Point.IoT wants to hear from you. The application process is simple: choose an industry challenge, apply on the platform and wait for confirmation. The online platform provides step-by-step guidance on what is required and provides hints to ensure the best chance of success.
